| What do two women who have known each other since childhood and consider themselves "sisters from another mother" do when they're bored on a chilly Saturday afternoon? Why, start a business, of course! Actually, the idea of a business couldn't have been farther from their minds when Robyn Starr and Patty Olender (the Puff Girls) were making homemade marshmallows for Christmas gifts in 2006. When friends and family tasted these confections, there were two responses: first, "Can I have more, NOW?" and second, "You have got to sell these things!" Ever obedient, Patty and Robyn laughed at the very idea of marketing their treats to a wider audience, but after months of being accosted by people going through marshmallow withdrawal, they relented and Puff Girls Treat Factory was born. Sure, everyone who tries a Puff Girls treat is crazy for them - but Robyn and Patty are just crazy. Both work full time jobs and have very full and busy lives. Once this idea took root,though, there was no question that making a go of a business was the right thing to do. They are absolutely committed to making the highest quality, most delicious marshmallows around. Try them and you'll understand what all the fuss is about. |
